Filcon Filters believe that we have a responsibility to care for and protect the environment in which we operate. We are fully committed to improving environmental performance across all our business activities, and will encourage our business partners and members of the wider community to join us in this effort. We are especially concerned about the decline of water quality in South African and believe we are contributing to raising the standard by promoting and distributing filtration equipment and water treatment systems. In addition we publish an electronic newsletter “Filters & Filtration” which deals with global water problems and solutions in our endeavour to increase awareness of the damage being done to the environment, specifically to water. Further Filcon Filters recognizes our responsibility in energy use, waste generation, emissions to air and water etc. As a consequence we will strive to:Adopt the highest environmental standards in all areas of operationMinimise waste through careful and efficient use of all materials and energygePurchase sustainable products wherever feasibleTrain employees in good environmental practice and encourage employee involvement  in environmental actionReduce risks from environmental, health or safety hazards for employees and others in the vicinity of our operationsAim to include environmental and ethical considerations in investment decisions where appropriateAssist in developing solutions to environmental problems
